Filter campaigns and ad sets in the editor
Find campaigns and ad sets by name or only the active ones, without scrolling long lists, and without losing what you checked.
Quick answer
In the Meta Ads Editor, open Filter campaigns (optional) above the list, type part of the name and use Active to see only running ones. For ad sets, open Select Ad Sets and use Filter ad sets (optional), with the Active button.

Before you start
- Search ignores accents and capitals: sabado finds Sábado.
- You can combine the text with Active.
- What you already checked stays checked even when the filter hides the item.
Step by step
In this example, we find the sales campaigns and a lookalike ad set.
- 1
Filter the campaigns
Pick the account, open Filter campaigns (optional) and type part of the name. Click Active to see only active ones, and check the campaigns.
- 2
Filter the ad sets
Open Select Ad Sets, then Filter ad sets (optional), and type part of the ad set name.
- 3
Close the filter
When you close the filter section, it is cleared and the full list comes back, with your selection kept.
Naming patterns help
Campaigns with a prefix, like [SALES] or [LEADS], are easy to filter at once.
How to tell it worked
- The list shows only the items that match the text.
- After closing the filter, the checked items stay highlighted.
If something goes wrong
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The list is empty | No name matches, or Active hides the paused ones | Delete part of the text or turn off Active |
| I cannot find the ad set filter | The ad set section is closed | Open Select Ad Sets first |
Frequently asked questions
How do I filter campaigns and ad sets while selecting items?
Above the list of campaigns there is a Filter campaigns section (optional): type text to filter by name and use the Active button to show only active campaigns, or combine the two. Ad sets work the same way, in the Filter ad sets section (optional), with the Active button. Search ignores accents and letter case, so typing sabado finds Sábado. When you close the filter section, the filter clears automatically. Selections you've already made are kept even when the filter hides items from the list.
