Quick answer

Connect your AI assistant in MCP Server and ask in plain language, as you would a media buyer: it reads metrics, pauses, activates, changes budgets, creates and duplicates campaigns, uploads ads, and creates audiences, rules, alerts and reports in Meta and Google Ads. Anything it creates starts paused, and actions that touch live ads ask for your confirmation.

Where MCP works

  • In any MCP compatible assistant: Claude (app and web), ChatGPT (paid plans, through Connectors), Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI. The Gemini web app does not connect.
  • Setup lives in MCP Server, in the side menu. There you find your tokens (My Tokens), the steps for each assistant (How to connect), the list of Available tools and Recent activity, with everything that was run.
  • You do not need to memorize tool names: the assistant picks the right one from your request. New tools show up in a new conversation.
  • Team members generate their own token with their own login and work through the owner’s connection, only on the pages, accounts and functions released to them.

Connect in three steps

The details for each assistant are in the questions at the end of the page and in the video above.

  1. 1

    Open MCP Server

In the side menu, click MCP Server and choose your assistant under How to connect.

  2. 2

    Connect the assistant

On a paid Claude plan, add the address https://app.adseditor.com.br/mcp in Connectors and authorize with your login, no token needed. For the others, click New Token, copy the token (it is shown only once) and paste it into the setup shown. See How do I connect Claude and How do I connect ChatGPT.

  3. 3

    Make your first request

Type "list my Meta and Google ad accounts". If the list comes back, you are all set. The call shows up in Recent activity.

Meta: accounts, metrics and charges

  • Lists your connected accounts and tells you whether each one is active, disabled or has a pending payment, with the reason.
  • Shows account, campaign, ad set and ad metrics for the period (spend, impressions, clicks, CTR, CPM, CPC, conversions, ROAS) and breaks them down by age, gender, region, platform, placement, device and hour.
  • Brings the account’s charges with date and amount (with and without tax), Pages, Instagram profiles with followers, pixels and each pixel’s events. A custom pixel event can become a custom conversion, with its own column in the manager.
  • Example: "How much did the Store X account spend in the last 7 days and what was each campaign’s CPA?"
  • Example: "Show the Black Friday campaign’s performance by age and gender."
  • Example: "Which charges did the Clinic Y account have this month?"

Meta: campaigns, ad sets and ads

  • Lists campaigns, ad sets and ads with metrics, searches by name, copy, URL or ID and filters active ones only. Opens full details and each ad’s post link.
  • Pauses and activates one item or up to 50 ads at once. Bulk edits up to 50 items right away, or up to 500 in the background (name, dates, copy, link, UTMs and status).
  • Creates a campaign from scratch, ad sets included, following the objective, destination and optimization combinations Meta accepts. The campaign starts paused.
  • Duplicates a campaign, ad set or ad in the same account or another one, even changing the objective (for example, from WhatsApp to website) and scheduling the start. The copy starts paused.
  • Edits the ad (primary text, headline, link, UTMs, button and WhatsApp message), swaps the media, uses one media in feed and another in stories, and turns off automatic creative enhancements for the whole account. It also renames and deletes.
  • Example: "Pause the ads with CPA above $50 in account X."
  • Example: "Duplicate the Launch campaign into client Y’s account, switching the destination to the website."
  • Example: "Change the link of every ad in the Promo campaign to store.com/offer."

Meta: budget, bidding and dates

  • Changes the daily or lifetime budget of a campaign (CBO) or ad set (ABO), by amount or by percentage. With Repeat the percentage in sequence (×2 to ×5), it applies the increase in steps, one change every 30 seconds, to scale a lot without going back to learning.
  • Shows whether the campaign uses campaign or ad set budgets and switches between CBO and ABO.
  • Changes the ad set’s bid strategy and amount (cost cap, bid cap, lowest cost).
  • Sets, changes or removes the end date of a running ad set or campaign.
  • Example: "Raise the budget 20% on campaigns with ROAS above 3."
  • Example: "Take the Remarketing ad set from $100 to $500 in steps."
  • Example: "Make the Christmas campaign end on 12/26."

Meta: upload ads with media, Drive, Instagram and catalog

  • Creates ads through the same queue as Meta Ads Editor: one ad per file in each ad set, with sequential names (AD01, AD02...) and copy, Page, Instagram and UTM inherited from the ad set when you do not provide them. The ads start paused unless you ask for them active.
  • Supports one file per ad set, different copy per ad and up to 5 variations of the primary text for Meta to test.
  • Where the media comes from: a public file link, a Google Drive link (file or folder, up to 25 media, shared as "anyone with the link") or a small image pasted in the chat. Video never goes pasted in the chat: send the link or use Meta Ads Editor. In terminal assistants (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), files on your computer are uploaded by a command the assistant runs itself.
  • Creates an ad from an Instagram post or reel and creates catalog ads (carousel, slideshow or image). Manages the catalog: product sets and images.
  • Example: "Upload the videos in this Drive folder to the ad sets of the Creative Test campaign, using the ad set’s copy."
  • Example: "Create an ad with this Instagram reel in the Lookalike 1% ad set."
  • Example: "How is the ad queue you just sent doing?"

Meta: targeting, placements and lead forms

  • Reads and changes the location of many ad sets at once (add or replace, with a radius in km), without touching the rest of the audience.
  • Changes placements (automatic or hand picked), turns Advantage+ audience on or off, and targets by phone operating system and model.
  • Lists the Page’s instant forms, creates a simple form, duplicates an existing one, swaps the form on an ad and shows which ads use forms.
  • Example: "Add Austin and Dallas, 20 km radius, to every active ad set in account X."
  • Example: "Keep the Leads campaign only on Instagram feed and stories."
  • Example: "Swap the form on ad AD03 for the Quote 2026 form."

Meta: audiences

  • Lists audiences and shows each one’s size and status.
  • Creates Instagram or Facebook engagement, video view, website event, lookalike and customer list audiences from CSV or XLSX (up to 10 MB and 100,000 rows; the data goes to Meta hashed). Creates many at once.
  • In automatic mode, it reads the account and suggests the audience packs that make sense; you choose which ones to create.
  • Copies audiences to another account and deletes the ones you no longer use.
  • Example: "Create 30, 90 and 180 day Instagram engagement audiences in account X."
  • Example: "Make a 1% lookalike of buyers from the last 180 days."
  • Example: "Suggest audiences for account Y and create the remarketing ones."
  • Lists accounts, MCC ones included, and tells you each one’s real status (active, suspended, no payment method). Shows the optimization score and Google’s recommendations, which you apply or dismiss from the chat.
  • Shows metrics and the daily series for the account and campaigns.
  • Creates Search, Display, Demand Gen, Performance Max and Shopping campaigns, always paused. Drafts a campaign with AI from the website, budget and city, and uses or saves campaign templates.
  • Duplicates a campaign in the same account or into another account (the copy starts paused), pauses, activates, renames, changes the budget (by amount, percentage or in steps), bid strategy, ad group target CPA, locations by city name and start and end dates.
  • Example: "Which Google campaigns spent the most and converted the least this week?"
  • Example: "Create a Search campaign for a dentist in Chicago at $60 a day."
  • Example: "Show Google’s recommendations for account X and apply only the keyword ones."
  • Queries Google’s Keyword Planner, with real search volume and CPC for the account.
  • Lists keywords with quality score, adds, pauses, changes the bid, changes the match type and removes.
  • Shows search terms for the campaign, the ad group or one specific keyword.
  • Adds negatives at campaign or ad group level and manages shared negative keyword lists: creates them, adds and removes words, applies and detaches them from campaigns.
  • Example: "Show the search terms from the last 30 days that spent without converting."
  • Example: "Add free, course and job as negatives on every campaign in account X."
  • Example: "Suggest keywords for an aesthetics clinic in Miami."
  • Creates ad groups and responsive search ads (both start paused), edits headlines, descriptions and URL, duplicates the ad and changes its status.
  • Creates, edits and removes sitelinks, callouts and structured snippets, and reuses the ones already in the account.
  • Reads and edits the Performance Max asset group: headlines, descriptions, images, videos, search themes and audience signals. Links Merchant Center to the campaign.
  • Uploads PNG or JPEG images (up to 5 MB) to the account library and video from a link or Drive (MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 200 MB), published as unlisted on YouTube, on Google’s channel or on your own channel linked in Connect channel, whose videos it can also list.
  • Example: "Create 4 sitelinks on the Brand campaign: Services, Pricing, Contact and Blog."
  • Example: "Add these 5 headlines to the Store PMax asset group."
  • Example: "Upload this Drive video and add it to the Store PMax."
  • Creates website remarketing lists, custom segments (terms, sites and apps) and combined lists. Edits and deletes them.
  • Adds audiences to the campaign, ad group or PMax (observation, targeting or exclusion) and adjusts each audience’s bid. Suggests audiences from what converts in the account, and competitor sites for the custom segment.
  • Excludes or adjusts age, gender, household income and parental status in Search ad groups.
  • Shows performance by device, hour, day of the week and landing page, sets the ad schedule and adjusts bids by device.
  • Example: "Create an audience of site visitors who did not buy and add it in observation to campaign X."
  • Example: "Exclude ages 18 to 24 from the ad groups in the Real Estate campaign."
  • Example: "At what hours does campaign X convert best? Make it run only at those hours."
  • Lists, creates (and hands you the tag to install on the site) and removes conversion actions, and sets each campaign’s conversion goals.
  • Turns on offline conversions: sales that arrive with the Google click are sent on their own every 10 minutes. It also sends a sale closed on WhatsApp or in the CRM, and tests without saving.
  • Creates A/B experiments on bidding or landing page, tracks the result, applies the winner or ends the test.
  • Creates, applies and removes labels on campaigns, ad groups and ads.
  • Example: "Create a lead conversion and send me the tag for the website."
  • Example: "Test Maximize conversions against Target CPA on campaign X with 50% of the traffic."
  • Example: "Put the Gold Client label on the active campaigns in account Y."

UTMs and sales

  • Meta: writes Ads Editor’s default UTMs on every ad in up to 15 campaigns, through the UTM Integrations project. Ads that already have the UTMs are skipped.
  • Google: reads and writes the final URL suffix of the campaign or account, with Ads Editor’s default UTM or your own, and lists the campaigns that do not inherit the default.
  • Shows the Hotmart, Kiwify, Eduzz and Braip sales summary by campaign, ad set and ad.
  • Example: "Add the default UTMs to the active campaigns in account X." or "Which ads sold the most on Hotmart this month?"

Reports

  • Lists, opens, creates, edits and deletes reports; turns the link off without deleting it and back on later.
  • Turns sections (age, gender, states, hours) on or off in one or all reports at once. Writes the notes and the period analysis, or generates the analysis with AI (it uses AI credits and only saves if you ask).
  • Shows who opened the link and reads the numbers of a public report. Saves Copy report templates used on WhatsApp.
  • Example: "Create a report for client X with the Meta and Google accounts, last 30 days." or "Turn off client Y’s report link."

Automated rules, alerts and notifications

  • Creates rules in Meta and Google: by condition (for example, CPA above an amount) or by schedule (a set date, every day or on weekdays). In Google, it also adds search terms as negatives and pauses keywords.
  • Edits, turns on, turns off and deletes rules, and shows their run history.
  • Creates CPA, CPC, CPM, CTR, spend and ROAS alerts (in Google, conversions too), checks them right away, and lists, marks as read and deletes notifications.
  • Example: "Create a rule that pauses ads with CPA above $80 every day at 6 PM." or "Let me know if account X spends more than $500 in a day."

AI Optimization

  • For plans that include AI Optimization. In Meta: lists your optimizations, shows the dashboard with each one’s spend, results and health, the action history, and creates, edits, turns on, turns off and deletes them. An optimization created from the chat starts turned off.
  • In Google: lists the engine’s pending suggestions and approves or dismisses them one by one or up to 50 at once, with a comment that trains the engine. Rates and undoes actions already taken and drafts the Performance Max the engine suggested. Creating a Google optimization is enabled per account.
  • Example: "How are the AI optimizations doing this week? Any at risk?"
  • Example: "Show the pending Google suggestions for account X and approve the negatives."

AI analyses

  • Analyzes the account’s creatives, with the AI watching the videos and images, and runs the Meta account diagnosis: health score, comparison with the previous week and what to do, with the number that backs each action.
  • Lists and opens analyses already done, with the PDF link. Running an analysis uses AI credits; opening a finished one does not.
  • In beta, enabled per account: competitor analysis (Meta Ad Library and Google Ads Transparency Center), Google ad analysis and Google diagnosis.
  • Example: "Analyze account X’s creatives and tell me what to repeat." or "Run the diagnosis for account Y."

Account Hub, balance and notes

  • Shows the balance, today’s spend and how many days the balance lasts across all Meta and Google accounts, and points out the ones on alert.
  • Hides and shows accounts again in the Account Hub and in Monitor Balance, and creates, edits and deletes account groups.
  • Reads and adds notes on the account (the history of what was done) and the account profile the AI uses as context (business type, website, Instagram, notes).
  • Example: "Which accounts have balance for less than 3 days?" or "Note on account X that I paused campaign Y because we are out of stock."

What starts paused and what asks for confirmation

Campaigns, ad sets, ad groups, ads and copies created through MCP start paused: nothing starts spending until you turn it on (media and catalog ads only go live if you ask). An AI Optimization created from the chat starts turned off. Writing UTMs in Meta, changing placements, turning on Advantage+ audience, switching between CBO and ABO, swapping media by placement, changing the catalog, creating catalog ads and applying Google recommendations ask for your confirmation first. Deleting is permanent. Each budget change is capped at the equivalent of R$ 10,000 a day.

Best practices

  • Say the account name in your request. With several similar accounts, ask for the list first.
  • Before a bulk change, ask "show me what will change and wait for my confirmation".
  • What the account can do follows the plan: number of active accounts, ads per upload, AI credits and the functions enabled. A tool your plan or your team does not allow does not even show up for the assistant.
  • Use one token per app and revoke the ones you no longer use in My Tokens. Check everything that was run in Recent activity.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Ads Editor MCP Server?

MCP Server is a bridge that connects Ads Editor to the AI assistant you already use every day, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf or VS Code. Once it's on, you can ask your assistant for things in plain language and it operates Ads Editor behind the scenes, for example: list my Meta campaigns, show my account balances, or clone campaign X to account Y. In practice, it's like giving your AI chat access to Ads Editor's tools. Setup is on the MCP Server page in the side menu, and you need an active plan to generate connection tokens.

Open the question

How do I connect Claude to Ads Editor via MCP?

On the MCP Server page, open the Claude Desktop tab. If you have Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise, you can connect without a token or any file setup: copy the URL https://app.adseditor.app/mcp, go to Settings and Connectors in Claude, add the connector and authorize on the login screen that opens in your browser. That's it, and it takes about 30 seconds. On Claude's free plan, use one of the alternatives on the same tab (these use a token and, for some options, require Node.js). After setup, fully quit Claude and reopen it for the Ads Editor tools to appear.

Open the question

How do I connect ChatGPT to Ads Editor via MCP?

On the MCP Server page, open the ChatGPT tab. ChatGPT connects through Connectors, so it requires a paid ChatGPT plan: the free plan doesn't support this feature. Generate a token on the page, go to Settings and Connectors in ChatGPT, add a new connector named Ads Editor, enter the URL shown and paste the token in the authorization field, using the format Bearer followed by your token. After that, ChatGPT can use Ads Editor's tools whenever you ask for something related to your campaigns.

Open the question

How do I connect Cursor, Windsurf or VS Code to Ads Editor?

Each of these apps has its own configuration file, and the MCP Server page gives you a ready-to-paste snippet for each one: in Cursor, you edit its MCP configuration file; in Windsurf, the Cascade configuration file; and in VS Code, you enable MCP in settings and add the snippet shown. In every case, generate a token on the page, paste the matching snippet and replace SEU_TOKEN_AQUI with your token. Then restart the app. Ads Editor's tools become available in your assistant automatically.

Open the question

Can I integrate Ads Editor with Gemini? Which AIs work with Ads Editor MCP?

The Ads Editor MCP works with any client that supports MCP: Claude (app and web), ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, and the Gemini CLI. The Gemini app in the browser doesn't connect to MCP.

It's simple: generate your token at app.adseditor.app/mcp and paste it into your AI client. From there, the AI can create campaigns, optimize, analyze the account, create audiences, and duplicate campaigns between accounts.

Open the question

How do I generate a token to connect my AI assistant to Ads Editor?

Go to MCP Server in the side menu and click New Token. Give it a name that helps you remember where it will be used (for example, Personal Claude Desktop) and click Generate. The full token is shown only once, when you create it, so copy it and store it somewhere safe. Then choose your client in the How to connect section, copy the configuration snippet and replace SEU_TOKEN_AQUI with the token you just generated. You can have several tokens (one per app), and all of them appear in the My Tokens list.

Open the question

How do I revoke or deactivate an MCP token?

On the MCP Server page, in the My Tokens list, each token has a Revoke button. Once revoked, the token stops working immediately, and any app using it loses access to Ads Editor. Use this if you think a token leaked, you stopped using an app or you want to rotate credentials. Because the token is only shown once, at creation, you can't recover it: if you need access again, generate a New Token and update your AI client's configuration.

Open the question

Where can I see which tools MCP offers and its usage history?

On the MCP Server page itself, the Available tools section lists everything your AI assistant can do in Ads Editor, with a search field to find tools by name. You don't need to memorize these names: the agent picks the right tool by itself when you ask for something in plain language. Just below, the Recent activity section shows the history of the latest calls made by your tokens, useful for checking what was run and through which connection. That way you can monitor usage and confirm the integration is working.

Open the question

I'm a team member. How do I use AI Copilot and MCP?

As a member, you use AI Copilot normally inside the app, and the credits you use come from the subscription owner's balance (not your own account). For MCP, each member generates their own token on the MCP Server page, using their own login. The key point is that you don't need to connect any Facebook or Google account: when you use Ads Editor, you already work through the connection the owner set up, within the accounts and pages the owner has given you access to. So just generate a token, connect your AI assistant and ask for what you need, within your permissions.

Open the question

Which plans have AI Copilot, AI Optimization, and MCP?

AI Copilot and MCP Server are available on all plans, including the 7-day free trial. The daily limit varies by plan and appears in the credits panel in AI Copilot.

AI Optimization is available on eligible plans. If you're on an eligible plan and the option doesn't appear in the menu, contact support.

Open the question

Can I upload ads through MCP from a Google Drive link?

Yes. Send your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or AI Copilot) the Drive link and tell it which ad set to publish to. It works with a single file or a folder, with images and videos, up to 25 media files.

Two things to check:

  1. The file or folder must be shared as anyone with the link.
  2. Paste the entire link copied from Drive's Share button (it includes a resourcekey= part). Without it, Drive responds as if the folder were private, even if it opens in your browser.

The MCP downloads the files and uploads the ads through the same queue as Meta Ads Editor, inheriting the text, Page, Instagram, and UTMs from the ad set.

Open the question

Can I use MCP or AI Copilot to upload a different file and copy to each ad set?

Yes. Ask the MCP or AI Copilot to upload the ads in two ways:

  • One file per ad set (1-N-1): the 1st file goes only to the 1st ad set you name, the 2nd file to the 2nd (you must give the same number of ad sets and files). The default puts every file in every ad set.
  • Different text per ad: give, in the same order as the files, the text, headline, URL, UTMs, call-to-action (CTA) button and name of each ad. Anything you leave out inherits the common value, and empty text removes the inherited one. You can also apply the change to only one ad set.

This is exactly what the screen does in Edit each ad and How to distribute ads?. In the AI Copilot, just ask ("upload one per ad set, with this text on the second").

Open the question

Can I create a campaign with AI Copilot or MCP?

Yes. AI Copilot and MCP can create campaigns:

  • AI Copilot (inside the app): ask in plain language, for example "create a sales campaign with a budget of US$50/day," and it builds the campaign with the same engine as the assistant.
  • MCP (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Telegram): ask for a Meta or Google campaign and it is built from scratch.

One important safeguard: a campaign created by AI always starts paused. You review it in Meta Ads and activate it when you're ready. No spend starts without your confirmation.

Open the question

Can AI Copilot or MCP create rules and alerts in Google Ads?

Yes. Just ask in AI Copilot or in your MCP-connected assistant, and say it's for Google and which account. Examples:

  • "create a rule in Google Ads for the Store A account that pauses keywords that spent over US$50 with zero conversions in the last 7 days"
  • "lower the target CPA by 15% for ad groups with a cost per conversion above US$90"
  • "create an alert in Google when Search campaign conversions fall below 5 in a day"

Google rules work on campaigns, ad groups, ads, and keywords, with these actions: pause, activate, budget (campaigns only), target CPA, and keyword bid (CPC). Google alerts also support the conversions metric and can be limited to certain campaign types (Search, Performance Max, Display, Video, Shopping, Demand Gen). You can edit, turn on, and turn off rules and alerts the same way.

In Copilot, nothing is created until you click the button on the card. Anything created shows up in the Google tab of Automated Rules and Alerts.
