Quick answer

In Meta Ads, on the Ads tab, check the ad, click Bulk Edit and Duplicate. Turn on Duplicate into another ad set, check the destination campaigns and, in each one, the ad sets. Click Duplicate: the ad is created in each checked ad set.

Before you start

  • The destination account starts as the open account; you can pick another one of yours that is active on Meta. In another account, the image or video is uploaded there again.
  • The destination can be a campaign with another objective: the creative is adapted to the destination ad set.
  • An ad set goes to another campaign in the same account the same way, on the Ad Sets tab (Duplicate into another campaign).

Step by step

In this example, we take a delivery business winning ad into ad sets of two other campaigns.

  1. 1

    Select the ad

Open the Ads tab, check the ad, click Bulk Edit and then Duplicate.

    Select the ad
  2. 2

    Pick the destination campaigns

Turn on Duplicate into another ad set. Check the destination account and check one or more destination campaigns.

  3. 3

    Check the ad sets

The ad sets show grouped by campaign: check the ones that will receive the ad. Page and Instagram (optional) changes the identity; when empty, the destination ad set one applies.

    Confirm the duplication

Click Duplicate. The card in the corner confirms the copy in each ad set.

Pixel in another account

The source account pixel does not go along to another account: conversions follow what is set on the destination ad set.

How to tell it worked

  • The card in the corner ends in Completed.
  • On the Ads tab, the ad also shows inside each destination ad set.

Frequently asked questions

Can I duplicate an ad into another ad set, or an ad set into another campaign?

Yes. Select the ad or ad set, click Bulk edits above the table, and then click Duplicate in the bar that appears below.

Ad: Turn on Duplicate into another ad set. Under Destination account, keep the current account or choose another active Meta ad account. Select one or more Destination campaigns and then the Destination ad sets in each campaign. The ad is duplicated into every selected ad set, including ad sets in campaigns with a different objective (the creative is adapted to the destination). When the destination is another account, the image or video is uploaded again and the ad uses a Page available to that account.

Ad set: Turn on Duplicate into another campaign and select the destination campaigns. Use Include ads to choose whether the ads in the ad set should also be duplicated. An ad set can only be duplicated into campaigns in the same account. To move the full structure to another account, duplicate the campaign with Duplicate to another ad account.

Progress appears in the card in the corner of the screen. If a copy fails, the card shows how many succeeded and the reason for the first failure.

Open the question

Can I duplicate a single ad into an ad set in another ad account?

Yes. Only the ad is duplicated, into the ad set you choose in another account of yours:

  1. Open Meta Ads, click Bulk edits (above the table), go to the Ads tab and select the ad (you can select more than one).
  2. Click Duplicate in the bar that appears at the bottom and turn on Duplicate into another ad set.
  3. Under Destination account, choose the account. The current account is labeled "(this account)". The other accounts you use in Meta Ads appear if they are active on Meta (a deactivated account can't be a destination). If you have no other active account, the field doesn't appear.
  4. Select one or more Destination campaigns and, in each one, the Destination ad sets. The ad is duplicated into each selected ad set.
  5. Click Duplicate and follow the progress on the card in the corner of the screen.

What changes when the destination is another account:

  • The image or video is uploaded again to the destination account.
  • Page: Ads Editor uses the Page selected under Page and Instagram (optional). If none is selected, it uses the destination ad set's Page. If the ad set has no Page, Ads Editor uses the source Page when the destination account has access to it; otherwise, it uses the first available Page. Instagram follows the selected Page unless you choose a different profile.
  • The pixel from the source account doesn't come along, because it isn't valid in the other account: conversion tracking follows what is set on the destination ad set.
  • An ad built from an existing post uses the same post, and the destination account needs access to that Page.

What isn't possible this way: sending an entire ad set to another account (an ad set's Duplicate into another campaign only works within the same account). To move a whole campaign with its ad sets and ads, select the campaign and use Duplicate to another ad account.

For a team member, the destination account must be allowed for them. You can also do this through AI Copilot or MCP: ask, for example, "duplicate ad X into ad set Y in the Store B account".
