Can I pull a campaign from a deactivated account? Does an account disabled by Meta show up in Ads Editor?
Yes. An account deactivated (disabled) by Meta still appears in Ads Editor and can be the source for duplicating campaigns to another, active account. What it can't do is receive new campaigns or edits, because Meta rejects them.
Step by step:
- In Connect Meta → Ad Accounts, the account appears with the Disabled label. Turn on its toggle. It uses one slot of your plan's account limit. If there are no slots left, turn off another account you aren't using.
- In Meta Ads, open the account selector. Disabled accounts are not listed with the active ones. They are collapsed in the Disabled by Meta section at the bottom of the list. Click that title to expand it and see the account. You can also type the account name in the selector's search.
- With the account open: Bulk edits → select the campaigns → Duplicate → turn on Duplicate to another ad account → choose the destination account (only active accounts appear as destinations) and, in its settings, the Page, Instagram account, and pixel.
Disapproved ads are copied too and go through Meta's review again in the destination account. The Page you choose must be one where the connected profile has a role.
