You don't need to do anything except wait. Meta limits repeated status changes (pause and activate) on the same item within a short time. When that happens, Meta returns an error and rejects the attempt.

Ads Editor warns you right away ("Meta refused ... due to the temporary limit") and retries on its own after 30 seconds, only for the rejected item. The other items in your selection continue normally.

If it still fails, the final notice tells you how many changes were applied, how many failed, and why. Wait a few minutes, then retry only the ones that failed. Avoid clicking the same item several times in a row: each click counts toward Meta's limit.
